LMNO wall

Commission for a Boston Art collector and his wife, an interior designer. They gave me full creative control over the mural.

I knew the collector to be a fan of hip hop, so I used that as the basis for the mural. Written abstractly is “LMNO”, which pronounced phonetically mirrors the sound of the word elemental, in reference to the 5 elements of hip hop.

In the corner of the room is an antique Victrola. The mural springs out from this modified antique record player and drives towards the kitchen. The tile in the kitchen is authentic antique Boston Subway station tile, which I mirrored in the right side of the piece.
